Rocky Point Man Charged with Murder

Defendant Ordered Held Without Bail for Allegedly Killing Missing 34-Year-Old Centereach Man

(SUFFOLK COUNTY, N.Y.) – Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney today announced that a Rocky Point man is charged with second-degree murder for the fatal shooting of Justin Lee.

“This is a brutal and cold-hearted execution in which the victim’s lifeless body was found dumped outside in the cold 10 days after he was reported missing by those who cared for him,” said Tierney. “The defendant is now in custody and we will seek justice for this senseless tragedy.”

Glenn Seejattan, 29, is charged with one count of Second Degree Murder, a Class A Felony which carries a sentence of up to 25 years to life in prison if he is convicted.

As alleged at the arraignment and in court documents, Lee who went missing on January 18, 2022 was last seen alive at Seejattan’s last known residence in Rocky Point which records show is a home owned by his mother. Lee’s body was found 10 days later, on January 28, 2022, a half a mile away from the residence half-naked and frozen solid. An autopsy would later reveal that he had sustained a gunshot wound to the head and a gunshot wound to his thigh.

The defendant allegedly committed the murder while he was out on bail under an indictment where he is charged with a top count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a Class “C” Felony.

Suffolk County District Court Judge Jonathan R. Bloom ordered Seejattan held without bail. He is being represented by Scott Gross and is due back in court on March 25.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Eric S. Aboulafia of the Homicide Bureau.

Criminal complaints and indictments are merely accusatory instruments. Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. No one is above the law.
