Statement from Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney Regarding the Cyberattack on Suffolk County

“My office has received the results of the County’s examination of the events relating to the cyberattack. We have been and will continue to work with the FBI and SCPD regarding the ongoing criminal investigation.  Thankfully, my Office had additional internet technology defenses in place, so that no criminal prosecutions were compromised.  I thank the County, the legislature and the various department heads for their ongoing remediation efforts.”

Criminal complaints and indictments are merely accusatory instruments. Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. No one is above the law.
