Huntington Man Sentenced to 48 Years in Prison for Sexually Abusing His Two Daughters

The Defendant Was Convicted in May

(SUFFOLK COUNTY, N.Y.) – Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney today announced that a 50-year-old Huntington man[1] was sentenced to 48 years in prison followed by 20 years of post-release supervision after a jury found him guilty of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the First Degree, and other related charges, for repeated sexual abuse of his two minor daughters in  2012.

“The serious sentence sends a clear message to abusers that we will not tolerate child abuse in Suffolk County,” said District Attorney Tierney. “While their father’s heinous actions can never be undone, I applaud these two young women for coming forward to report their father and testify before the jury.  Their bravery will keep others from being abused”

The evidence at trial established that in February 2012, the defendant began sexually abusing his oldest daughter, who was 10 years old at the time. A short time later, the defendant began to also abuse his younger daughter sexually, who was eight years old at the time. The defendant’s behavior escalated to abusing both children simultaneously and abusing one child in front of the other.

The abuse occurred while the victims’ mother was at work, and the defendant would often use the promise of gifts to lure the children into the abuse again. The abuse ended around September 2012 when the victim’s mother was home more often.

The victims initially disclosed the abuse to members of their church, and later as young adults, they reported it to law enforcement. The defendant was arrested on August 30, 2023, and held on $250,000 cash, $500,000 bond, or $2.5 million partially secured bond.

On May 14, 2025, the defendant was convicted of the following charges after a jury trial heard before Acting Supreme Court Justice Karen M. Wilutis:

  • Two counts of Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the First Degree, Class B violent felonies; and
  • Two counts of Incest in the First Degree, Class B violent felonies.

On June 17, 2025, the defendant was sentenced to 48 years in prison followed by 20 years of post release supervision. He was represented by Andrew Karpf, Esq.

This case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Dana Castaldo of the Child Abuse and Domestic Violence Bureau with assistance to victims provided by Victim Services Coordinator Aracelis Buchanan, and the investigation was conducted by Investigators Lorraine Winters and Maureen Gonzalez of the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.

[1] The District Attorney’s Office is not naming the defendant to protect the identities of the child victims.

Criminal complaints and indictments are merely accusatory instruments. Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. No one is above the law.
